Health Update

Straight to business. I got a call at the hospital on Wednesday from my Oncology team in Moncton, whilst I was getting Chemo, which wasn’t the greatest timing, but if I can take calls, I do. That goes for anyone, if you wanna call me up for a chat, call anytime. If I can’t take your call, I’ll endeavour to call you back asap. That goes for friends and family on messenger, don’t be shy.

Everyday I'm encouraged by one of my biggest inspirations, my daughter. Everyday she's creative with her artwork, and she's like that because her mother encourages her to be instead of screen time. How creative she is, I’m not sure where she get that from, but I am forever grateful. For the fact her mother encourages her creative spark, and of course, the art work that is known to bring a tear to my eye.

The Biggest Shake Up Yet.

It’s been a month since I last updated you all, and that’s too long I know. I’ve been in hiding, But I’ve been in hiding for good reason. I’ve dealing with some issues behind closed doors. In advance, I thank you for respecting our privacy. This is one of the most, if not the most difficult posts I’ve had to make yet on the history of this blog, of my journey…

Well. I had a bit surgery. This thing called laparoscopy. The way I figure it, they knock you out… cut a few little holes in your belly. One for the camera, one for pumping your belly full of air so it’s easier for them to look around. Well, I can tell you, it feels like they had a real thorough look around because I’ve been feeling the pain…. But maybe that pain is not from surgery, but the pain from the news we were about to learn.

The Unsung Hero

Every mother’s day I am reminded of my mum and how great she was…

Every year as I get older, I have more and more respect and love for her as time goes by. For instance, my mother raised my brother and I by herself. My biological father passed away in a road accident whilst she was pregnant with my younger brother. She raised us by herself until she married my step dad in 1992. As a dad myself now, I thought..

Where to begin? Well, let’s start what with what was scheduled. Thursday 25th, I was always scheduled to have an MRI and CAT scan, tests to see whether the Chemo has been doing the trick. However, life is not scheduled and I arrived at the hospital a lot earlier for my appointments..

Movin’ Right Along

So I’ve found myself in a funk…
..What do I mean by funk? I wish it was music related. Because I love that kind of funk. The funk I mean is, I feel like I’m in a bit of a rut. Bit down and out for no apparent reason. Nothing really to pinpoint it on.

What’s the plan?!

I’d be lying if I said this was not on mind…

…It doesn’t upset me to think about it. I’m coming up to round six of Chemotherapy, which means I am at or almost the point where my Oncologist and his team in Halifax would like to see if I am making any progress or if the Chemo is doing its job.
